"The Reliance Foundation has adopted a hospital and an area of Khetwadi to see that we keep that area and its surroundings clean. It is one of the oldest parts of Mumbai. It is important that all that all hospitals and schools are in clean surroundings to see that health is maintained in its optimum," said Ambani.

"Initiative taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan', is a great initiative. It will start a culture of cleanliness, hygiene and sanitation. I am privileged to be the brand ambassador for Maharashtra. We are willing to extend all the help possible to support this movement, not only in Mumbai or Maharashtra but in all the other states of India," she added.

Happy to note that priority is given to boys and girls toilets in this movement Ambani said, "It is so important that girls have proper toilets to go to when they are in the school. So, we are here to support the movement in our personal capacity and as corporate."

The 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' was launched by Prime Minster Narendra Modi on the 145th birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi.

The campaign that has been launched nationwide on October 2 focuses on sanitation, hygiene and waste management.
