Swamy asks Chidambaram to relocate to Uzbekistan as he is unpopular

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Subramanian Swamy on Sunday stated that Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram has become so unpopular in Tamil Nadu that's why he is not contesting this time and suggested him to relocate in Uzbekistan which will be more suitable for him.

"I can understand his frustration, because he is the most unpopular man in Tamil Nadu today and hence he is not contesting this time. I hope that now he decides on migrating from India. The business community has turned against him, middle class has gone against him so also the professional class as he increased the service tax. I think he should migrate to some congenial country like Uzbekistan," Swamy said.

The BJP leader also remarked that Chidambaram had once sought the membership of the BJP which was rejected by the then president Jana Krishnamurthi.

"He is naturally upset, but let me remind him that in 2001 he had applied for BJP membership, and it was rejected. Will he be able to deny it? If he denies it I will produce the necessary evidence, as our then party president Jana Krishnamurthi had rejected his membership as he is a very corrupt fellow. I think Chidambaram should worry about a future government investigating him in the amount of 50000 crores which he has in his bank accounts that he has abroad and hence he should be prosecuted," Swamy added.

On Saturday, while addressing an election rally for his party nominee in Central Chennai and South Chennai Lok Sabha constituencies, Chidambaram had attacked both the Dravidian parties. He charged the AIADMK as being the B-team of the BJP and the DMK was preparing to be the C-team.
