Swansea ended the eight match winning run of Arsenal in the Premier League by snatching a dramatic late win, thanks to Bafetimbi Gomis' header in the 84th minute of the match at Emirates stadium.
Former Arsenal goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski made a lot of saves, not allowing Santi Cazorla and Aaron Ramsay to score, as the Swansea attacked relentlessly in the second half.
However, with only five minutes remaining, substitute Gomis nodded in to make the score 1-0 as Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina had failed to palm the ball.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said that they were a bit unlucky with the goals, adding that a lot of positives were there to be taken from the match, the BBC reported.
On the other hand, jubilant with the victory Swansea, manager Garry Monk said that they had been working all week long on execution of plans and was glad it paid off.
This win gives Swansea their first league double against Arsenal since the 1981-82 season.
Before this game, Arsenal had remained unbeaten in the last 10 games, winning eight of them.
The hosts now remain three points behind Manchester City in the Premier League table, with a game in hand.
