A Swedish politician, who wanted to show his new tattoo to followers on Instagram, accidentally flashed his genitals in the snap.
Lars Ohly, former leader of Sweden's Left Party, intended to post only a picture of Liverpool Football Club's liver bird on his leg, the New York Daily News reported.
The country's Foreign Minister Carl Bildt, of the rival Moderate Party, joked, "Congratulations. Finally, after all these years you've made a genuine public breakthrough."
Meanwhile, according to the Local, former Social Democrat leader Hakan Juholt texted him to say, "I'd planned to grill sausages tonight but now it's going to be chicken."
Ohly quickly removed the picture, but it was saved and went viral.
The 56-year-old later said he wasn't that embarrassed by the blunder but admitted he'd be more careful of what he posts in future.
