Expressing grave concern over the Sydney hostage crisis, former cricketer and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Kirti Azad on Monday said the ongoing India-Australia series should not be called off till the gravity of the situation is known.
"No no, why should the series be called off? There is a matter at hand but nobody knows about what has actually happened. The series will go on till its completion," Azad told the media here.
He added that the seriousness of the issue can be assessed only after some further information comes to light and till then the series shouldn't be cancelled.
The next Test match between India and Australia is scheduled to take place in Brisbane on December 17.
