Target data breach costs more than $200mln

The cost of the Target data breach has crossed nearly 200 million dollars.

The revelation was made by as per data collected by the Consumer Bankers Association (CBA) and the Credit Union National Association (CUNA).

According to Enterprise Innovation, CBA estimated the cost of card replacements for its members to have reached 172 million dollars, up from an initial 153 million dollars.

Also, CUNA has stated the cost to credit unions has increased to $30.6 million from an original estimate of $25 million.
