A teenaged Manchester United player has reportedly been urged to play for his native Albania by nationalists on the social media.
18-year-old Adnan Januzaj is eligible to represent Belgium, Albania, Serbia and Turkey due to his mixed heritage, although he has so far refused to accept call-ups from the Belgian Football Association.
However, the Daily Star reports that Albanian nationalists are trying to influence Januzaj through the social media to play for Albania, with a post on the player's Facebook page telling him to remember that he has 'Albanian blood' and also remember an Albanian hero who led an uprising against Turkish rule.
The report mentioned that Januzaj made his Premier League debut for United against Crystal Palace last weekend and has to decide whether to accept the chance to play for Belgium at Brazil 2014 or risk missing out on a major tournament by choosing Albania.
