All police stations of Telangana's north zone have taken up the concept of 'Cheyutha', under which employment and skill development opportunities would be offered to the youth registered under the initiative.

Telangana Home Minister Nayini Narsimha Reddy was present at the event marking 'Cheyutha' initiative at a school in Secunderabad's Lalaguda district.

On the occasion, Reddy praised the Deputy Commissioner of Police, North Zone, B. Sumathi saying that a good programme was organised by him.

He said police were making efforts through this programme to provide jobs to unemployed youths.

Reddy called for a combination of management, trainers and unemployed youth so that jobs are provided.

He added that this will bring peace to their families.

The minister asked the police department to go into the public and approach them to provide unemployed with the jobs.

He said this will bring the confidence among the public towards the police.

Reddy said it will bring an awareness among the public that police is doing a good work and helping them in providing jobs.

He urged public and police to make efforts to maintain law and order.
