The Telugu Desam party (TDP) has moved a motion against Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit for his alleged rude behaviour towards its MP's and derogatory remarks made by him inside the Parliament.
The TDP alleged that Dikshit and other Congress members on Monday abused its lawmakers in the Parliament.
TDP leader Nama Nageshwar Rao on Tuesday said that they had submitted a notice to the Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar complaining against the alleged misbehaviour towards TDP MP's by Dikshit.
"We have given notice to the speaker. The way Sandeep has behaved yesterday, it is highly objectionable. When our Seemandhra MP's, were protesting for their cause which is relating to the Telangana-Andhra issues, unnecessarily Sandeep, being a chief whip of the party interfered and he abused them like anything," he said.
Senior Congress leaders rebutted the TDP allegations, saying the TDP MP's were disrupting the house with their protest.
Congress leader Jagdambika Pal lashed out at TDP, saying that it was atrocious that people who disrupted the house have filed the notice.
"Congress maintained silence in the house while the TDP MP's continued to create ruckus by protesting, showcasing their derogatory behaviour. Congress members were repeatedly asking them to calm down as such behaviour was unacceptable and so far as Sandeep Dikshit's matter is concerned it is a mistake on the part of the TDP MP's and now Nama Nageshwar Rao has submitted a notice. Such incidents should not take place in the Parliament," he said.
TDP leaders asserted that the ruling Congress Party was responsible for the 'mayhem' in the Lok Sabha where TDP was peacefully protesting against the proposed bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.
