The Thai Government has said that the Bangkok blast, which killed 20 people, was "unlikely" to have been the work of a foreign terror group.

According to the BBC, a spokesman for the ruling military junta, Col. Winthai Suvaree, said that it was a preliminary conclusion reached by the investigators.

An arrest warrant has been issued for one unidentified man seen on security camera footage leaving a backpack at the shrine shortly before the blast.

Thai Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha has described the incident as the worst-ever attack on the country.
