Three army soldiers were killed in an encounter with militants in the Tral area of South Kashmir's Pulwama District on Friday.
According to television reports, following a tip off about the presence of militants in the area, security forces launched an anti-insurgency operation in Buchoo village in the Tral area of Pulwama.
As the troops were laying a cordon around the village, militants hiding in the nearby forest, opened fire, which resulted in the death of three soldiers.
