Chinese multinational conglomerate Tiens Group inaugurated its South Asian headquarters in New Delhi making the Indian capital the centre of its major expansion plans across the region.

Recognized as one of China's 'Top 500 Most Valuable Brands' in 2013, Tiens Group has a business presence reaching across 190 countries with active interests in a wide range of business domains including bio-tech, education, retail, tourism, finance, international trade and e-business, etc.

The Chinese conglomerate, which already conducts business in India, today formally inaugurated its headquarters in Delhi signaling major plans for expansion across the Indian market.

The New Delhi office will serve as the company's South Asia Headquarters, and will cater to the organization's business across the region.

The inauguration ceremony was conducted in the presence of Kevin Hou, President of Tiens South Asia Region as well as the India leadership of the company.

"We see this as a major leap in our global expansion plans including across the Indian subcontinent. India is a huge market with a 300 million strong middle class hungry for a variety of world class goods and services. At Tiens, we plan to tap the huge Indian market in a big way over the next five years. Having a headquarters in New Delhi gives us a direct presence in India and allows us to take a more aggressive expansion approach across the South Asian region," said Kevin Hou, President of Tiens South Asia Region.

In 2015, the Group's founder Li Jinyuan celebrated the company's 20 years, by organizing a unique all-expenses paid trip for more than 6,000 of the company's employees, earning him the epithet of the 'world's most generous boss' by international several media houses who actively covered the episode.

Li was ranked by Forbes as the 24th richest person in Chinawith an estimated wealth of USD 1.2 billion.

A total of 6,400 employees of Tiens Group were given a private tour of the Louvre museum in Paris and later visited the southern French town of Nice where they broke a Guinness World Record for forming the largest human sentence.
