Defending Aaliyah's legacy this holiday season, Timbaland has released a previously unreleased track 'Shakin,' featuring the late singer, who died in a plane crash more than 14 years ago at the age of 22.
The single is a part of his highly anticipated mix tape 'King Stays King' and is a time machine to the '90s, E! Online reported.
In the track that also features sounds from Timbaland and emcee Strado, Aaliyah is heard singing "Baby, you nasty boy, it's been a minute/ And I could say my life has changed, since you hit it/ This is your strongest trait, you work the middle."
The 43-year-old singer, who teased never-before-heard music from Aaliyah back in August, wrote on Twitter "Aaliyah.. This is for you baby," when releasing the link for his mixtape.
The project, which is said to feature cameos from Young Thug, Migos, Rich Homie Quan, Tink, and 2 Chainz, among others, is intended as a preview of his forthcoming full-length, 'Textbook Timbo,' which is due out early next year.
