Seems like the production for Hollywood sensation Tom Cruise's highly anticipated sequel of Top Gun, 'Maverick' has begun.
The star tweeted a throwback picture, with 'Day 1' written on it.
The picture shows Cruise's iconic character looking at his F-14A Tomcat, with the words "Feel the need" written over it, an allusion to one of the most famous lines from the original film.
With a story set in the current time and dealing with very modern warfare, 'Maverick' follows fighter pilots as they grapple with drone technology, reported Hollywood Reporter.
The flick is directed by Joseph Kosinski and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer along with Skydance's David Ellison and Cruise.
It is slated to release on July 12, 2019.
