Top 2013 app downloads for Windows and Mac revealed!

2013 ended with a lot of tech talk around Apple's iPhones, Microsoft Surface, battle between PSP 4 and Xbox One, wearable computing and Google Glass, and the ever-alive war of what's better between Android and iOS.

With all the buzz around going mobile the last year, Cnet has revealed a list of top ten app downloads of 2013 for Windows and Mac.

It was found that users downloaded more than 700 million apps in 2013 from Download.com, which mostly included anti-virus and media management apps.

According to Cnet, for Windows fans, the keys were security and utilities, while Mac heads were minding their music and graphics.

The most popular app for 2013 had been Avast Free Antivirus, which had more than 53 million downloads for Windows and nearly 1 million for Mac.
