The United States military's top general said that Islamic State extremists would soon be a danger to the U.S. and Europe and that a global alliance would be required to fight it.
U.S. commanders are preparing to fight IS militants in Syria as well as Iraq, said the top general's spokesperson Martin Dempsey.
According to News24, U.S. defence secretary Chuck Hagel said that the IS militants pose a bigger threat than the al-Qaeda terror group.
Dempsey said that IS group is a regional threat which can soon grow bigger and pose a danger to U.S. and Europe.
He also said that the IS militants should be pressurized in both Iraq and Syria.
