A retired Marine Corps general leading the U.S.-led coalition's fight against the Islamic State (IS) has said that the terror group "is at an entirely different level than Al Qaeda was."
John Allen, the Special Presidential Envoy for the Global Coalition to Counter IS, said that the terror network was "better organized" and had better "command and control" than Al Qaeda, reported ABC News.
On being asked if IS posed a threat to the home front, Allen said it should be taken "very seriously."
He added that the U.S. was assisting Jordan in its fight against the IS "more than ever" after the group burnt Jordanian pilot Lt. Muath al-Kasasbeh alive in a new propaganda video.
