England pace bowler Chris Tremlett has admitted that the team's 'giant trio' including himself, Boyd Rankin and Steven Finn were all 'a little bit rusty' on the first day of their Ashes tour after they were flogged around by a collection of second-string batsmen from the Western Australia Chairman's XI.
The XI team had even drafted in Queensland batsman Chris Lynn, who scored a confident 104 and led his side to a confident 369-4 on a sluggish pitch.
According to the Mirror, England's collection of six foot eight fast bowlers could have done better, admitted Tremlett, who said that they had a frustrating day as an unit as he, along with Finn and Rankin, were a little bit rusty, adding that they struggled with their lengths and bowled a bit too short then too full at times.
Tremlett further said that they should have tried to do much more better as an unit, adding that he was disappointed that all three of them failed to do so.
The report mentioned that Tremlett and Finn took 13 wickets between them the last time they played on this ground during the third Test in 2010, but on day one together with Rankin they combined for 1-245.
