United States President Donald Trump is at it again. On Monday, he once again targeted U.S. media by terming them as 'fake'.

Trump castigated 'Fake News' and thanked Christian leader Jerry Falwell Jr. for defending him on Fox & Friends, a weekday morning news show hosted by Fox News Channel stalwarts Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade, along with more recent addition Ainsley Earhardt.

Falwell had defended Trump's response to the deadly violence in Charlottesville, Va., earlier this month.

"Jerry Falwell of Liberty University was fantastic on @foxandfriends. The Fake News should listen to what he had to say. Thanks Jerry!" Trump tweeted.

Trump then replied to a Twitter user who also criticised 'Fake News Media'.

Mentioning Trump, the Twitter user tweeted: "Every single day the #FakeNews media try to take you down.. You never falter, you always stand strong!"

The president then responded and tweeted: "Thank you, the very dishonest Fake News Media is out of control!"

"President Donald Trump does not have a racist bone in his body," Falwell said Monday morning on "Fox & Friends." "I know him well. He loves all people; he's worked so hard to help minorities in the inner cities."

This is not the first time that Trump has called mainstream media 'fake'.

On February 18, the President had termed popular media brands as 'fake' and enemy of American people.

"The FAKE NEWS media (failing @nytimes, @NBCNews, @ABC, @CBS, @CNN) is not my enemy, it is the enemy of the American People!" Trump tweeted.

The Trump administration has declared war on the American press. The press, overall, Trump says, is a "disgrace,.false, horrible, fake reporting.
