President Donald Trump is planning to lift the ban on allowing local police forces to use military equipment.

As per a report published on the hill, the local police forces may be allowed to use armored vehicles, high-caliber weapons and other kinds of heavy equipment that were used in the military earlier.

Former president Barack Obama's administration initially banned the use of military equipment after police in Ferguson, Mo. Drew flak for using the equipment against protestors.

It is being speculated that the Attorney General Jeff Sessions in his address Monday, might unveil the new policy.
