With Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) taking the throne in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh Assembly elections, Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal on Monday said this shows a wave of development and progress across India.
Speaking to ANI, the Union Minister said, "Again people have shown their trust and faith in BJP. There is a wave of 'Vikas' (development and progress) all over India. It is a blessing by the public to the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government. It shows that they support his vision for development and the vision for the future of India".
He added that the BJP is working for the poor, farmers, labourers and people belonging to the marginal society and this is their main priority.
"We have won with two-third majority in Himachal Pradesh elections. In Gujarat, BJP was already ruling from past 22 years and now we will rule for next five years again. This is very positive and good news," Goyal stated.
He further said in 14 states in the nation, there are BJP Chief Ministers and they have partnership in five states.
"Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi and BJP president Amit Shah, we have won elections in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh," the Railway Minister asserted.
The BJP stood victorious in the Himachal Pradesh Assembly elections with 44 seats, while the Congress acquired 20 seats in the total 68 constituencies.
While in Gujarat, the BJP won the election for the 182-member Assembly claiming a clear majority of 99 seats.
