The founder of popular photo sharing tool "Twitpic" says that despite shutdown, archived photos and related links posted to Twitter will be alive for the time being owing to a deal with the social networking site.

According o CNET, the service, that was to shut down yesterday, said at the beginning of September that users had until the shutdown date to export their photos from the Twitpic domain-where they'd upload shots before linking to them in tweets.

TwitPic founder Noah Everett said that because of an agreement with Twitter, photos and links will be kept alive "for the time being."

However, he refrained from divulging more details on the agreement with Twitter.
