Two cops killed, five injured in Quetta blast

At least two policemen were killed while five others injured in an explosion near Balochistan University in Quetta today.

The injured includes three policemen, Dawn reports.

The police and rescuers rushed to the site of the blast and started rescue efforts with the help of locals.

The injured have been shifted to the Civil Hospital in Quetta.

Law enforcement forces have cordoned off the area.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far but the attacks on security forces and government installations are not rare in the region.

Further investigations are underway.
