At least two people were killed and eight others injured in a celebratory firing on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr in Pakistan's Bannu's Frontier Region today.
Officials of the political administration confirmed the casualties saying the injuries and deaths were caused when people fired aerial shots after Eid prayers in Bakkakhel area, reports the Express Tribune.
The injured were rushed to a local hospital and two of them are in a critical condition.
In similar incident, an infant in Peshawar was brought to a hospital after reportedly being injured due to aerial firing.
Though the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Police have managed to curtail aerial firing within the limits of urban areas, incidents have emerged from the outskirts of major cities.
