Two people were killed when an empty gas tanker exploded in a garage in Mumbai.
Shafiq Ahmed, 18, a garage worker and an unidentified vehicle cleaner were killed in the explosion that occurred in the city's Chembur area on Tuesday.
According to eye witness, welding on the tanker could have led to the explosion.
"I saw a blast, so I came running. A boy was lying here and the tanker was ripped open and parts of it strewn everywhere. A body was lying there, he was a little alive and we tried to lift him up and took him to the hospital. We were three people and he died on the way to the hospital," said a resident of a nearby village.
There was no fire or damage to any other building or houses in the area.
