Expecting some concrete results from the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and U.S President Barack Obama's meeting, former Indian ambassador Surendra Kumar said here today that the U.S is looking for a huge market which India now has.

Kumar said, "It is a great thing and was a very huge meeting. He (PM Modi) made a very important speech as he covered everything that was necessary. U.S is looking for a huge market which now India has."

"These two leaders are very important. I feel it will be beneficial and have a very fountain result for India and US. We already have 34 missions between India and US," he added.

"There are so many areas that US have offered us. All the technology comes from US. Moreover our economy was not growing but now it has started growing," Kumar added.

"We have many things common but in terms of cooperation there should be delicate talks," he concluded.

Earlier while briefing the media about Prime Minister Narendra Modi's first ever meeting with US President Barack Obama, MEA Spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin said that Prime Minister Modi and President Obama both shared commonalities and challenges they both faced on assuming power.

Akbaruddin also said that PM Modi laid out his hopes and aspirations for India and his developmental vision in a meeting which lasted 90 minutes. He also said that both the dynamic leaders agreed that US- Indo relation is most important and it was incumbent for both to strengthen it.
