The Abhishek Chaubey directed film also stars Shahid Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Kareena Kapoor Khan.
Shahid, yesterday took to his Twitter handle to release his 'desi rockstar' look, Tommy Singh, from the movie.
'Udta Punjab' revolves around the subject of drug addiction, which has become a serious issue in the Indian state of Punjab in recent years.
