UP dedicates 2018 to youth's progress

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced on Friday that the upcoming fiscal year would be dedicated to the youth, to increase employment as well as to promote entrepreneurship and innovation in the state.

"This year was dedicated to the progress of our farmers, but we will dedicate the upcoming fiscal year to the youth of our state", Adityanath said at the closing ceremony of UP Diwas at Avadh Shilpgram here.

To this end, the state government is forming a corpus fund to give a platform to the youth for innovation as well as making provisions with the central government for promoting start-ups and making arrangement in the national schemes for the youth who want to venture into entrepreneurship", the Chief Minister informed.

In the service sector, Adityanath said the government sector is coming up with five lakh jobs.

"UP alone has 12 crore youngsters and to connect them with the state's development as well as in the nation-building process, our Information department has begun with weekly 'E-Sandesh'," Adityanath further said.

Through the E-Sandesh programme, the government aims to communicate the schemes and accomplishments of government to the public of Uttar Pradesh.

The three-day UP Diwas, celebrating the January 23 foundation day of the state concluded on Friday.
