Following the violent clashes in Jahanabad of Fatehpur district in Uttar Pradesh, the situation is reportedly under control as heavy security has been deployed.
According to reports, trouble began yesterday when a group tried to block the way of a religious procession and which spurred a confrontation in which four were injured.
Following the clashes, a peace committee meeting, comprising people from both groups was called, following which the situation was totally under control.
All of the injured, except one, have been discharged from the district hospital after being given medical aid.
Police have been heavily deployed in the area and keen vigil is being monitored on the situation.
