Nigella Lawson has been invited to apply for US visa just days after she was turned away for admitting past drug use.
A spokeswoman for the US Embassy said that there are several ways of legally travelling into the US and the 54-year-old celebrity chef has been invited to come to the Embassy and apply for a visa for travel to the US, the Mirror reported.
She said that they understood that she has professional requirements for US travel and these matters are generally handled routinely and expeditiously, so stand by.
Lawson was travelling alone and had cleared check in and security at London's Heathrow airport when she told that she couldn't board the plane bound for Los Angeles and was forced to return to the first class check-in to collect her bags.
Last year, Lawson had admitted during the fraud trial of her former workers that she has taken cocaine and smoked marijuana.
