Director of United States National Intelligence has claimed that Pakistan's provision of safe havens to Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) will continue to be the key irritant in the country's relations with India.
According to the Express Tribune, James Clapper's statement came in a testimony on "World Threat Assessment of the US Intelligence Community".
Clapper said, presenting the report in a hearing of the US Senate Armed Services Committee that Pakistan will most likely focus on diminishing the capabilities of the Tehreek-e-Taliban (TTP) that launched the attack on a school in Peshawar that left over a 100 children dead.
The testimony also said that Pakistan will aim to build positive rapport with the new Afghan government.
Talking about Pakistan's economy, Clapper said that the country will implement some new economic reforms.
