A professional clown known around her South Carolina town as Pickles Da Clown is set to run for mayor.
Barbara Emery, 48, dons a blond wig and red rubber nose to perform at children's birthday parties and community events.
But it's not all fun and games for the entertainer. She has decided she wants to throw her hat in the ring for the mayoral race in Rock Hill, South Carolina, the New York Daily News reported.
Originally from New York, she moved to the quiet, Southern town five years ago - starting her own entertainment company, in addition to a seamstress business.
She is touting her business experience to show how she could manage the community, with a population of roughly 67,000.
In addition to her clown persona, she oversees a team of party planners that organize games, crafts and face painting for kids' parties.
