Valerie Trierweiler on charity visit to India post split from French President
Valerie Trierweiler has arrived in India for a charity visit after the French President Francois Hollande announced the couple's split.
The former French first lady is due to promote a French charity during a two-day visit and is due to make her first public appearance, Sky News reported.
Trierweiler will be visiting a hospital where ACF has a feeding project for malnourished children and will witness a training programme for medical staff followed by a lunch with the wives of top local businessmen and also attend a charity gala dinner at the Taj hotel.
Hollande recently announced that he was splitting with his longstanding partner after press revelations of his affair with actress Julie Gayet.
