Netherlands manager Louis van Gaal has reportedly revealed that he wants to be Manchester United's new manager.
The Dutchman, who has been the overwhelming favourite for the role since David Moyes' axing last month, said that he would love the United job and is hoping to be the one to take charge of the Premier League side.
According to the BBC, Van Gaal said that United is the biggest club in the world and it is fantastic challenge for him to manage such a club.
United is reportedly expected to confirm Van Gaal's appointment early next week
However, despite the huge speculation surrounding Van Gaal about taking charge of United, as Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola and his Borussia Dormund counterpart Jurgen Klopp were ruled out of the running, interim boss Ryan Giggs considered too inexperienced and Carlo Ancelotti more secure with his position at Real Madrid, the Dutchman is refusing to accept the job is his.
Van Gaal said that the media is thinking that he is the man who will take charge of United, but the most important thing is if the club is thinking like that.
The Dutchman added that one will have to wait and watch what United decides, adding that it is always the same as it is always a process and one has to wait for the process.
