Van Gall accuses FIFA of dirty tricks, claims WC fixture lists favours Brazil

Netherlands boss Louis van Gall has reportedly accused FIFA of dirty tricks claiming that the World Cup fixture list favours possible last-16 opponents Brazil.

Van Gaal slammed the governing body for lack of fair play over the timings of group games for the host nation and is reportedly angry that Brazil would play their final Group A match against Cameroon in Brasilia on Monday, four hours after his side kick off against Chile in Sao Paulo.

According to The Mirror, Van Gaal believes that Brazil would have the advantage of knowing the identity of their likely last-16 opponents, having played their first two group matches before Holland, by the time they face Cameroon on Monday.

Van Gaal said that FIFA, for every match, have this advertisement around fair play, but they play these tricks and it is not a good thing, it is not fair play.

The Dutchman said that Holland is going to focus on a victory against Chile and he does not think that would be affected by the fact that Brazil would play after them, adding that he is just assuming that the hosts would do their sporting duty.

Van Gaal questioned why on earth FIFA are doing that with the fixtures and said that he can well imaging that Brazil does not want to face Holland because his side has scored a lot of goals and fantastic goals.

Brazil would face the loser of Holland's match with Chile in Belo Horizonte on Saturday if the hosts win Group A, the report added.
