The Vatican had to call back 6,000 copies of a new papal medal, bearing the face of Pope Francis, after they found that the name of Jesus Christ had been misspelled as "Lesus."
The spelling mistake happened around the edge of the coin, the BBC reported.
Many keen-eyed experts quickly bought a handful of the coins, struck in gold, silver and bronze by the Italian mint, before the Vatican noticed the mistake.
