Ram Gopal Varma's 'Veerappan,' which has garnered mix reviews from the audience, has opened to a poor start at the Box Office, earning Rs 1.77 crores on the first day of its release.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter handle to reveal the film's collection and tweeted, "#Veerappan Fri ? 1.77 cr. India biz."
The coming days will throw more light on the movie's Box Office collections.
The movie, a Hindi remake of Ram Gopal's Kannada directorial debut 'Killing Veerappan,' stars Sandeep Bharadwaj, Sachiin J Joshi, Usha Jadhav and Lisa Ray.
The movie was released on May 27.
