Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel edged past reigning world champion Lewis Hamilton to finish as the fastest driver in a rain-affected final practice at the Austrian Grand Prix on Saturday.

The four-time world champion was 0.017 seconds faster than Hamilton, who made a mistake at the final corner, before pouring rain hit the Red Bull Ring halfway through the session, the BBC reported.

While Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen finished third ahead of Sergio Perez of Force India, Mercedes' Nico Rosberg was fifth.
