Pakistani intelligence sources have said that the masterminds of Wagah border attack may be among the 13 suspected terrorists who were killed in airstrikes on Tuesday in Daras area of Khyber Agency.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), airstrikes were carried out on credible intelligence about the presence of terrorists who launched the Wagah border suicide attack.
According to Dawn, fighter jets destroyed at least three militant hideouts including an ammunition depot during airstrikes.
However, since restricted access for journalists in the area, the information on Wagah attack masterminds cannot be verifies independently.
Almost 60 Pakistanis were killed in the Wagah border suicide bombing.
A splinter group of Pakistan Jamaat-ul-Ahrar had claimed responsibility for the attack.
