Former Pakistan pace spearhead and current coach Waqar Younis has warned his players not to get carried away and lose focus after winning two back to back warm-up games against Bangladesh and England respectively.
Reflecting on warm-up games, Waqar said that those were just warm-up games and one must not derive conclusions from there, adding that but they must take positives from the win as they bowled and fielded really well, the Dawn reported.
Commenting on the upcoming high-octane clash against India, Waqar said that India has always been a tough opponent and they are not going take it easy, adding that they would approach the game with a positive frame of mind and try to give their best.
Waqar added that things were turning around well and was hopeful those two victories would bring them the momentum they needed, and would go a long way in the Cup.
Pakistan will open their World Cup campaign against India on February 15 in Adelaide.
Pakistan will also play the West Indies, Zimbabwe, United Arab Emirates, South Africa and Ireland in Group B.
