Following her complaint of molestation against former boyfriend and Industrialist Ness Wadia, Actress Preity Zinta on Saturday said in a statement that her intention behind the complaint was not to harm anyone but to protect herself.
"My intention was not to harm anyone but only to protect myself," said Zinta.
Meanwhile, Chairperson of National Commission for Women, Mamta Sharma, said that only after an investigation by the police will things become clearer on the issue.
"They had been together for long and then they had break-up. Police will do the investigation, and only after the investigation things will be clearer," said Sharma.
"Without any reason she won't file a case. We will ask for the details from the police and then we will look into the matter," she added.
Zinta has accused Wadia of molesting, abusing and threatening her inside Wankhede stadium in south Mumbai and registered an F.I.R against him on Thursday night.
The incident has been reported to have happened on May 30, the same day when an IPL match between Kings XI Punjab and Chennai Super Kings was played at the Wankhede stadium.
