An ardent cricket buff may grab a whooping one million dollars for taking a spectacular one-handed catch during New Zealand's 98-run victory over Sri Lanka in their World Cup opener on Saturday in Christchurch.
A massive six by New Zealand big-hitting batsman Kane Williamson was skillfully caught by a man, named Sunjay Ganda, in the crowd with his right hand, Fox Sport reported.
The cash prize will be awarded by Tui Brewery Ltd, who are running a 'Catch a Million' promotion throughout the World Cup matches in New Zealand.
Though the catcher is guaranteed to get 250,000 million dollars as of now, he could further win a total guaranteed prize pool of one million if New Zealand wins the Cricket World Cup.
