Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has conceded that his side have been 'very average' so far this season after securing four points from three Premier League games.
Arsenal suffered a shocking home defeat at the hands of West Ham in their season opener but fought back to claim 2-1 win over Crystal Palace before being held to a goalless draw by Liverpool on Monday.
Reflecting on his team's performance, Wenger admitted that they have had an average start to their campaign, adding that some players lack sharpness in them, the BBC reported.
The match against Liverpool turned out to be a topsy-turvy affair for both sides as first half saw goalkeeper Petr Cech deny Christian Benteke and Philippe Coutinho from scoring for Liverpool.
However, Arsenal displayed a much improved performance by dominating much of the second half, with star striker Alexis Sanchez hitting the post and Olivier Giroud being denied by an excellent save from Liverpool keeper Simon Mignolet.
Arsenal will next play against Newcastle on Saturday.
