Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is keen to have Fernando Torres play to the club, while Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho looks ready to let the Spaniard leave Stamford Bridge.
According to the Mirror, Torres is expected to play alongside Real Madrid star Gonzalo Higuain for Arsenal and is a move that could send shockwaves in the soccer world.
Only five players of the regular Chelsea squad have been confirmed as starters for the next season, with Spanish player Juan Mata and Brazil defender David Luiz not in the list.
Torres is going to speak to Mourinho this week and if does not figure in Chelsea's plans, he would try for a move to Arsenal quickly.
Arsenal also has Argentine star Higuain and Wayne Rooney on the list of players they want to acquire.
