West Indies are 107/2 at lunch on Day 1 of the first Test against India at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, after winning the toss and electing to bat first.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar and debutant Shami Ahmed took one wicket each, of Chris Gayle and Kieran Powell respectively.

Marlon Samuels is unbeaten at 45 and Darren Bravo on 16 at the crease.

Rohit Sharma is also making his Test debut for India in this match.

The match is the 199th Test match for cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar, who will play his last and 200th Test match against the same opponents in Mumbai next week.
