Pakistan cricket coach Dav Whatmore has assured supporters that his side would put behind the dismal show in the ICC Champions Trophy and fight for better results on their tour of the West Indies.
Accoding to the Daily Times, Whatmore said that Pakistan would fight very hard to win, with the first one-day between Pakistan and the West Indies to be played in Guyana on July 14, and five one-day and two Twenty20 matches scheduled in the series.
The former Australian batsman said that his performance as Pakistan coach was one that was very difficult to judge in win-loss ratio and he has had some good times along with some not very good times.
Whatmore also denied that he had any differences with chief selector Iqbal Qasim and thanked him for his services, along with revealing plans of an extension, the report said.
The report added that the coach had pinned a lot of hopes on Shahid Afridi, who was being recalled to the one-day team and said that he could be useful with both bat and ball.
