Why Jamie-Lynn Sigler kept her 'multiple sclerosis' secret for 15 years

Jamie-Lynn Sigler, who recently got hitched to Cutter Dykstra, has revealed that she has multiple sclerosis (MS).

In a recent interview, the 34-year-old actress said she was diagnosed with the autoimmune disorder at the age of 20, when she was still on 'The Sopranos' and experienced the feelings of tingliness and heaviness in her legs.

Talking about her struggle, the 'Guys with Kids' actress added she could not walk for a longer period of time without resting and she could not even run, E! Online reports.

Aside from confiding in a few trusted colleagues such as her TV father, James Gandolfini, she kept her disease a secret for years.

Speaking of coming clean about her illness, the actress said she was not ready until now and that it is still hard for her to accept it.

Sigler also revealed that she tried every treatment from injections to infusions, but has finally found a success with a twice-daily pill that has kept her symptoms at bay for about six years.

Jamie-Lynn and her longtime love, Dykstra have recently exchanged vows in an intimate wedding ceremony in Palm Springs, California.
