India A recovered to take some late wickets as West Indies A posted a score of 264/5 on the first day of the first unofficial Test being played between the two sides at Mysore.

For the visitors, Kraigg Brathwaite top scored with 92 runs off 215 balls, while Kirk Edwards made 91 off 162 balls.

Parvez Rasool took two wickets for India A while Mohammed Shami, Ishwar Pandey and Rajat Paliwal all took one wicket each.

India had earlier lost the one-day series to West Indies A but achieved victory in the only unofficial T20 played at Bangalore.
