Will launch campaign to expose duplicity, failure of demonetisation: CPI

The Communist Party of India (CPI) on Friday said that their party will launch an all India campaign in January to expose the duplicity and the failure of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's demonetisation move.

"We have called for an all India agitation. We will conduct a campaign to expose the duplicity and the failure of the Prime Minister Modi government over the demonetisation of high-value currency notes," said CPI national secretary D. Raja.

Raja further said that demonetisation has caused great trouble for the economy and for the livelihood of common people.

He also targeted Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and said, "He made very tall claims which do not have any corresponding ground reality. People are passing through huge difficulties and hardship, but the government claims it will uplift economy. They must come forward with a comprehensive response."

Amidst all the ruckus and chaos, demonetisation reached the mark of 50 days today. With the phase coming to an end, Prime Minister Modi is expected to address the nation about the same on New Year's eve.
