Kate Middleton and Prince William are disheartened by the tragic death of Camilla Parker Bowles' brother Mark Shand, a spokesperson for the royal couple has said.
The spokesperson said that the royal couple's thoughts were with the Duchess of Cornwall and her family at this time, E! Online reported.
Shand, 63, had suffered a head injury in a fall late last night after he left from an after-party at the Grammercy Park Hotel's Rose Bar.
Clarence House said in a statement that the Duchess, the Prince of Wales and all her family members were completely distressed by this sudden and tragic loss.
